Food Ministries
While we reflect upon 2025, thankful to meet the food needs of tens of thousands throughout our community, we are acutely aware of the harsh reality of food insecurity that continues to persist across Jackson County. With changes in SNAP benefits, many families who would never have considered using a food pantry for assistance are now reaching out to us for help. 14,000 Jackson County households have visited a CMJC community food pantry this year. Additionally, over 700 school-aged children and youth are receiving food each week through our After School Backpack Program.

CMJC will continue to assist Jackson County families who are struggling to make ends meet, by ensuring neighbors in need have choices of quality, healthy food and are welcomed and met with dignity and respect.
David's Promise
David's Promise has been on an incredible journey completing its eleventh year of existence! At the present time, David's Promise accommodates fifty two adults who exhibit a range of abilities. We now have four identical sessions with the ability to accommodate fifteen adults to be enrolled in each session. Session one meets on Monday and Wednesday morning, session two meets on Monday and Wednesday afternoon, and session three meets on Tuesday and Thursday afternoon, and our newest session meeting on Tuesday and Thursday morning. David's Promise offers music therapy, art classes, and nutrition education from our dedicated facility.

CMJC’s David's Promise has profoundly changed the lives of participants and their families. We are dedicated to continuing our work, offering quality programs and support for those with disabilities in our community!

Our David's Promise program is free to all participants and runs 11 months out of the year.
