Community Collective
Some of our Community Collective ministries occur once a year, some are seasonal events, while others occur throughout the year as needs arise throughout Jackson County. CMJC evaluates each community need brought to our attention prior to providing support. Our prayer is that through these acts of service, people will encounter the love of God through his people.
HOSPICE COMFORT BASKETS
Often times, families with loved ones receiving care at the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home in Jackson, do not want to leave the side of their family member. These baskets filled with snacks, puzzle books and words of encouragement, allowing for family members to stay with their loved one, providing tangible items of support for the grieving family. Specific items are needed for baskets and donations are greatly appreciated.
RAMP BUILDS
By collaborating with disAbility Connections, we build residential ramps for children and adults with disabilities living in Jackson County. All of our ramps are built to ADA specifications. Those interested in having a ramp built, must contact disAbility Connections. disAbility Connections approves all applicants.
OTHER COMMUNITY EVENTS
CMJC loves Jackson! We receive a large amount of invites to participate in community events throughout the year. We evaluate the event to see if it aligns with our mission. If the event aligns with who we are and what we believe in, our leadership determines whether to be part of the event.
Some events that we’ve hosted and/or been part of include, the Go-Go’s Christmas, BBBS Thanksgiving Dinner, Project Homeless Connect, Back to School Bash and more.
