David's Promise Sponsorships
Your David’s Promise sponsorship allows participants to engage in life enrichment activities throughout the year. David’s Promise participants engage in life enrichment activities that promote independence, life skill development, connection, social development, and volunteerism. As part of the David’s Promise community, participants are actively learning and are involved in serving each other and our community.
Programming regularly includes fitness classes, volunteerism in and for the community, gardening, music therapy, cooking, job readiness skills acquisition, art, dance, theatre classes, and more.
Be A Participant Sponsor
Our participants do not pay a fee to be part of the David’s Promise programming. We have dedicated staff, assisted by extraordinary volunteers, who bring joy and enrichment to the adults with special needs. Your sponsorship helps cover staff salaries, facility costs (including operating costs at The Table’s Coffee Bar), program materials, and event costs like Ella Sharp Museum passes, as well as other costs such as insurance, etc. David’s Promise meets in two groups, two times every week for eleven months of the year. August is a time for planning, rest, rejuvenation and celebration.

Be An Art Sponsor
Your sponsorship helps cover the cost of materials and professionals from Jackson School of the Arts who present creative, hands-on art experiences for our David’s Promise participants. Sessions are presented four times per month.

Be A Theater Sponsor
Your sponsorship helps cover the cost of professionals from Jackson School of the Arts, as they present fun, but structured teaching to explore the gifts of performance of David’s Promise participants. Sessions are presented twice per month.

Your sponsorship helps cover the cost of professionals from Jackson School of the Arts, who will explore the gifts of dance/movement with our David’s Promise participants. Sessions are presented twice per month.

Your sponsorship helps cover instrument rental and the cost of professionals from Harmony Garden Music Therapy Services, who will present fun and interactive instruction to explore the expressive gifts of David’s Promise participants. Sessions are presented four times per month

After School Backpack Sponsor
Your sponsorship helps cover the cost of food that is provided to vulnerable school aged children in Jackson County. Nonperishable food items are packaged in bags for individual students by David’s Promise participants, and distributed weekly to schools in Jackson County.

Be A Garden Sponsor
Your sponsorship helps cover the cost of seeds, plants, and gardening supplies at CMJC's Community Garden. David’s Promise participants care for the garden throughout the growing season. Produce harvested is given away to those in need, in our community.
