Don't miss out on this incredible experience and join us as a New Song camp volunteer!
We need MANY volunteers, so please help us spread the word if you have a group of students or a friend who may be interested in this volunteer opportunity!
Become a Volunteer!
The success of New Song camp would not be possible without amazing volunteers, like YOU! Here's how you can help:
Become a Volunteer or BuddyUp
There are different music therapy groups, all divided according to age, which require volunteers and BuddyUps to help them run smoothly. What's the difference between a volunteer and a BuddyUp?
- Volunteers are those who have graduated from high school
- BuddyUps are volunteers who are in middle school or high school
New Song's camp is structured in groups of adults and kids. Participants will join a group of their peers and remain with that group for duration of camp. You will have the opportunity to work with one group while you attend camp, giving you the opportunity to make friends and get to know your campers.
The location of camp is at JaxNaz Church on 3905 Clinton Rd, Jackson, MI 49201. Additionally, the camp concludes with a Be a Star Showcase: a celebration for campers, volunteers/BuddyUps, staff, families, and caregivers. The showcase takes place on the final day of camp at 1:30 p.m.
HOW TO BECOME A VOLUNTEER OR BUDDYUP
2. All Volunteers/BuddyUps must attend the MANDATORY Volunteer Training on Sunday, July 22nd from 2:30 to 4:30 at JaxNaz Church.
